# Visualize Errors

Rather than relying only on technical error messages, the portal can help customers see where the problems are and what they mean.

### What visual error handling can show

Depending on the implementation, the portal can highlight:

* low-resolution areas
* dimension mismatches
* missing or problematic fonts
* colour-related issues
* other preflight findings tied to the uploaded artwork

This helps turn preflight from a technical report into a clearer customer experience.

### Why this matters

Many customers do not know how to interpret production-oriented PDF or preflight language.

Visual error handling helps by:

* reducing confusion
* making issues more actionable
* lowering support dependency
* helping customers correct problems earlier in the workflow

### Where this sits in the process

Visualized issues usually appear after upload and during review, before the customer completes submission.

At this stage, the customer can decide whether to:

* continue as-is, depending on your rules
* make simple adjustments
* replace the file
* leave the issue for internal review, where allowed

### Best practice

Keep customer-facing messages clear and practical.

Explain what is wrong, why it matters, and what the customer should do next.
